When you read remember to use our reading strategies!

1. Look for "parts" in the words that you recognize. Blend the sounds together. Look at the vowel rules.

2. Monitor your reading.

3. Evaluate what you have read.

4. Ask yourself if what you read makes sense. If it didn't, go back and reread it.

5. Ask yourself questions as you read.
